Ink Dropout

Apparent bands of multiple colors may appear in the image output. The bands(s) may only occur once or many times in the image. If many, these bands may be either consistent or inconsistent with the bands being approximately 1 to 5 inches apart from each other.
This is due to the preheat settings being set too high causing the ink to boil at the cartridge jetplate. The boiling of the ink causes air bubbles to be formed in the ink which eventually removes most of the ink. The ink is being replaced by air bubbles which will lead to this ink dropout condition as more air bubbles replaces the ink.
Once the jetplate cools off a little, the ink will be allowed to enter the jetplate and resume printing until the jetplate becomes too hot again.
